Hi Folks,

I've just joined the task force - I'm a Lecturer in Health Informatics from Otago Uni in NZ. I do lots of Web 2.0 stuff - more about me here: http://chrispaton.org

Anyway... Peter has kindly let me have a play with this site and I'd like to see how "Web 2.0" we can get it.

I've changed the layout to a slightly different theme and added a IMIA logo.

I've asked Peter to upload some more modules that extend the functionality of the site which you should see soon too.

So... Hi from NZ and please post here any comments on the site.

Chris :-)

Many thanks, Chris, for your

Many thanks, Chris, for your work here. You have managed to quickly add some of the functionality I had been strugling with. I will be interested to see how far we can take this, and what ideas we can generate for IMIA's electronic future.

New web 2.0 features

No problem Peter. We have a few 'Web 2.0' features now although some go under a slightly different name...

Social Networking = Buddylist + Invite your friends and colleagues

Wiki = 'Books' (anyone can add and edit book pages)

Social Bookmarking = Service Links (Digg, Delicious, etc)

Tagging = Tagalicious/Taxonomy (not working yet)

Cheers, Chris

Improving

It is good to see the site improving day by day, thanks to Peter and Chris. To me that's a very nice way go start using collaborative tools without having to pay much attention (so far) to what I write. (The medium is the message, after all!).

PS. Funnily enough, "the medium is the message" should come out in bold, but formatting didn't work.

I'll look into the formatting. I have to specifically allow the html tags so some might not be enabled.
