The EFMI (European Federation for Medical Informatics - www.efmi.org ) Special Topic Conference (STC) for 2008 took place in London, UK on 9-11 September 2008 (with associated EFMI Board and Council meetings commencing on 8 September).
 
***LATEST (12 September 2008) Many thanks to everyone who attended - we felt the event was very successful. We will maintain this site as a repository of information, and will also provide information via the GoogleGroup, so please sign up to that.***
 
 
The theme was Open Source and Healthcare in Europe - Time for Leading Edge Ideas?
 
This website will be continually updated with information about the event. Use the 'Main Menu' area to the left to find the major categories of information about the event. The 'Navigating the site' link will provide additional information on where information can be found.
 
We have added, in the right hand column, RSS news feeds from several of the supporting organisations, as an interactive service to those visiting the site. Other features will be added, but we aim not to make the site too cluttered.
 
LATEST (01 September 2008) There will be a joint meeting of the EFMI and IMIA Open Source Working Groups at 17:15 on Wednesday 10 September in the Strand Palace Hotel (details will be announced at the STC).

(01 August 2008): The new information and discussion Googlegroup is available at http://groups.google.com/group/efmi-stc-2008 - sign up now for updates and discussion of the event.
 
(10 July 2008): Places are still available to attend, but numbers will be limited due to space.  Special rate for delegates at the Strand Palace Hotel - see Accommodation section of the menu. The updated booking form is now available ( >>> ).
